LOLA team

We are a long-standing and close-knit team who are passionate about LOLA.

Amanda Wiggert & Dieter Wiggert Owners and CEO’s, Dieter and Amanda have been in language travel for over 30 years. Amanda is from Scotland and first came to Salamanca to do ERASMUS in 1990. She met Dieter from Germany who had arrived a few years earlier and they set up ISLA together which was to run for 30 years until its closure during the pandemia.  LOLA is their second project. Amanda is responsible for onsite logistics and operations.  Dieter is on the creative side and runs the teacher training arm.

Sara Manzano
– Chief Operating Officer.

Sara is Lola’s right-hand woman and was a valued member of ISLA for over 20 years.  She is responsible for transport and lodging.

Rosana Centeno
– 
Guide.

Rosana is one of our two head guides and an institution in Salamanca, which she brings to life with her wonderful interactive city tours.

Javier González
– 
Guide.

Our other chief guide, is famous for his wonderful voice and clear diction whose Spanish even beginners magically understand. He is an official city guide and part time councilor.

Stef Hernández

Guide.

Kind and dynamic Stef is in charge of offsite activities like day trips and gastronomic treats.   She also runs workshops on teen confidence and anti-bullying.

Luis Jaraquemada
– 
Head of Studies.

Our head of studies and brilliant “creativo”. Luis is in charge of methodology and teacher training, of our own staff and other subsidized teacher training courses.

Leili Rai Esteban

Spanish teacher.

Is our in-house expert on exam content and materials creation. Apart from being much in demand for online exam revision, she also collaborates on our teacher training courses.

Paula Cantero
